Affiliate Marketing Tips for New Marketers. Things I have Learned.

 

As an affiliate marketer I am always looking for successful markets that I can make money on. Sometimes, we as affiliate marketers think it is a simple formula that is readily available to us. However, it is simply more complicated than that. Being a successful affiliate marketer takes hard work and dedication. It’s not a get rich quick, easy money scheme. Unfortunately, allot of people aren’t willing to put in the hard work and dedication needed to succeed. Hopefully I can give a few tips to help increase your customer base and thrive in the affiliate marketing business.

1. Using Unique Web Pages to Promote Each Separate Product You Are Marketing.

Do not lump all of your products together on one large page. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product, each niche, and nothing more. I repeat, Each Site Should Focus on ONLY ONE NICHE.

 

I personally don’t sell on my sites. However If you are selling products on your site, include product reviews so visitors will have an understanding on what the product can do for those who decide to buy it. It’s also a good idea to include testimonials from users who have already tried the product.

 

Make the pages attractive by using good color combinations and font choices. Nothing will turn people away more that an ugly, cheap looking site.

 

Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, and hopefully opt in (sign up)to your site. Highlight your special points using things like bullet points, arrows and check marks to make these points stand out. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

 

2. Give Away Free Gifts On Your Site To Add VALUE!

If possible position free offers at the very top side of your page so they cannot be missed. Try adding a graphic that states ‘Try for Free’ or ‘Sign Up For Your Free Gift’ in your header.

 

This creates VALUE. Also, create auto-responder messages that will be mailed to those who opt into your site. By placing useful information into their inboxes, like reports, how to articles etc, you will remind them of the VALUE you are giving them.

 

Do not try to sell right away. Add VALUE, which adds trust, which means people that trust you, which means people that will buy from you. Focus on important points like how your product can make things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word ‘free’ in the subject lines because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first.

 

4. Generate Traffic To Your Site.

How can you generate traffic to your page? There are many techniques people use to do this and I won’t list them here. A good way to find people who are interested in your niche is to market in forums. If you market on a discussion board, where people are alreadyinterested in the niche you are promoting, you don’t really have to worry about if they are interested in what you are promoting. They wouldn’t be there if they wasn’t.

 

Write articles for publication on sites. You can Google ‘Article publication’ to find sites to post unique articles on. This is a way locate publications that are focusing on your target customers, much like forums.

 

Try to write about 2-3 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to opt in to your site. However If you can generate even 100 targeted hits for your website in a day, and say 10 of these opt in, that’s 10 new customers you can market to on a regular basis.

 

The tips given above do not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and planning on your part. Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs and don’t quit. You can maintaining a good source of income and thrive in this business that not everyone is willing to learn. Remember; Offer value to people and they will be lifelong customers.
